When we got back to the train, a lady from The Red Cross took my hand and lead me to the train where we spent several more hours traveling.
So Edda, what do you want to drink? Tea, milk, milo, maybe water?
We were on the train until we were the only people left. Eventually, we reached our platform, and two new people greeted me. I said goodbye and thank you to Jasmine and we left the station.
What happened next?
Well, in the coming days, I fell sick with pneumonia...
The married couple that took me in was called and . They had twin sons called and who both worked overseas in France and Germany, so I did not see them much. Their house was huge, like nothing I had ever seen before.
It is likely she got it from the train ride.
Oh no! What is it from?
She has pneumonia. Leave her in bed for 2 -3 weeks.
When I was taken inside and settled, I was asked what I wanted to drink. Tea, milk, milo? I had only ever had milk before. I decided to try 'tea'. The flavour of this new drink was different from what I had ever tasted before. Delicious!
It was probably because of the train ride or the food I had eaten because it was so different to what I had ever experienced. The doctor was a great person. He said that I was so malnourished that my milk had to be diluted with water, as I was too weak to digest it!
