- That's good, because your body can know that your cold and your heating mechanisms are turned on to increase your body temperature
- how does the body know that i am cold?!
- we have receptors that detects the stimulus so then the brain will receive impulses and the body will know that your cold
- woww! and how do shivering result the body in temperature increase
- Shivering is caused by muscles contracting and relaxing in an uncontrollable way, then respiration releases the energy for these movements, and it also releases energy by heating. This helps to increase the body temperature.

- So when the body temperature is low small arteries narrow this reduces the blood flow through the capillaries. Blood flows through deeper vessels instead and the rate of energy transfer to the surroundings decreases
