  • King Henry VIII decides to make his own church because of the Pope's decision and forces everyone in England to attend his church.
  • King Henry VIII remarries to Jane, who gives him a son but dies during childbirth.
  • Catholic Mary I becomes queen after Edward, Henry's son, dies.
  • Mary I religiously makes the country of England Roman Catholic again.
  • Mary I becomes politically known as Bloody Mary for burning around 300 protestants at the stake.
