- They are given guns and live ammunition and marched off to the forest to fight. At the beginning, Ishmael isn't able to shoot. Two of his close friends, Musa and Josiah, are shot, and he watches them die. The death of his friends stirs anger in Ishmael that allows him to fight harder.
- Hello, a woman told us that we could find our families in a village that is near.
- Is this Gasemu? I know him
- Ishmael! I saw your parents in the village, you boys want to help me carry this bananas there?
- No! It isn't Gasemu´s his fault
- In their way to the village, the boys heard gunshots and dogs barking, when the arrived, the whole village was in flames and they didn´t found the bodies of their families.
- Yes, it is his fault! If he hadn't appear we would have seen our families!
- This is all Gasemu's fault!
- Boys, I hear someone approaching! Let´s go hide!

- We did a great job today, nobody in this village scaped, all dead!
