  • Wow! Time flies so fast. I'm now 18 and that means I'm qualified to vote in the Philippine elections! After I register to vote and become a voter, how should I act? How can I select the best candidate? How can I know who's fit to rule in national and local levels?
  • What are the characteristics that you look for in a candidate (for elected positions at thelocal level)? Why?
  • Good afternoon, Mayor ****!
  • Good afternoon! What seems to be your concern regarding to our city?
  • To start off on how to be good voter, I should know who are the eligible candidates of the positions in the ballot. I will research about each candidates histories, achievements, what they already did for our country or city and what can they do more so I can assess judiciously.
  • How can you take care of your own and even other people’s votes during andafter elections?
  •
  •
  • This is what we are going to do on the elections...
  • For elected positions at the national level, what I look for in a candidate are their honesty, intelligence, good morals, responsibility of their actions, and great leadership skills. They should execute plans that are for all people, the poor and the rich. There are no bias and hatred to anyone. Because our country needs better leaders that can end all dilemmas that we are experiencing right now.
  • How can you participate in the democratic processes and political affairs in ourcountry?
  • We will now announce the winners....
  • As for elected positions at the local level, what I look for in a candidate are being approachable, collaborator, pleasing personalities, critical thinker and able to take a fast action. For the reason that they are the first people of the government to attend our needs and who can see our state at the beginning.
  • I can take care of my own and even other people's votes during and after the elections by volunteering in organizations to make the voting day peaceful and organized. I will also be aware of any malice that might be around that day. I will be updated of what is going on the process as a sign of being a responsible voter.
  • I can participate in the democratic processes and political affairs in our country by voting without being involved vote-buying or any wrong doings, participate in the candidate's public hearings, being updated about the elections and advocate to be better voters. I believe that if we all practiced to be better citizens, we can achieve a better government at the start of rightful voting.
