UltraViolet Remarky-able"You make me lovely..." (375)
Using the messages Theodore sent before his passing, Violet finds a note from Theodore at a Prayer Chapel. Violet believed she let Theodore down. However, Theodore makes it clear that he loved her in the note, repeating a word that meant a lot to the both of them: lovely.
"Am i ready to hear what he thought of me? To hear how I let him down?" (374)
Violet is learning to come to terms with Theodore's death and is grieving in her own ways, one of them being visiting the Blue Hole. She is letting him go but she will always, always remember him and care for him.
"The thing I realize is that its not what you take, its what you leave." (376)
"It was an epitaph that could have been written for Finch, except that I've written one for him myself: Theodore Finch-I was alive. I burned brightly, And then I died, but not really. Because someone like me cannot, will not, die like everyone else. I linger like the legends of the Blue Hole. I will always be here, in the offerings and people i left behind." (378)
