Storyboard Text

  • Pay 120 gold coins or you will be thrown into the dungeon!
  • Please, no! I have no coins to give you!
  • You can not. This school is only for the children of lords and royals. It is not for peasants like you.
  • That is the rules. Now leave.
  • That is not fair!
  • I want to go to school here!
  • No, I am your king and this food belongs to me.
  • My lord, we have not had a good harvest this season. We need this food so our families won't starve this winter.
  • The peasant woman doesn't have enough coins to give so the tax collector is threatening to throw her into the dungeon. This is showing the unfairness that is showed towards peasents because she is required to pay a massive tax which she is unable to.
  • You can't play, you're a girl. Boys are better players. Why are you even here?
  • I really enjoy it.
  • There were palace schools where the sons and daughters of lords and royals would be able to learn. A peasant boy wants to go to school there but he is not allowed to because of his status. The palace school teacher asks him to leave.
  • Pizza Hut
  • Um, you can't sit here. You don't look like us and that is a problem for me.
  • Chips 'n' Cheese
  • But, I...
  • The peasants were not able to reap a good harvest this season so they don't have a large food supply. They tell the king that they need the food so they won't starve this winter. However, the king says that the food belongs to him. This shows the social system is unequal because serfs don't have a say.
  • Um, excuse me you're in my way. You chair thing is blocking the entire hall. Go move it somewhere else.
  • A girl wants to play soccer but some of the boys on her team tell her that she shouldn't. They say that they are better than her and that she will slow the team down. This is an example of gender discrimination.
  • You are just going to slow down the entire team.
  • A dark-skinned girl wants to go sit at a table with some other girls so she can get to know them. However, they don't let her sit with them because she looks different, so they ask her to sit somewhere else. This portrays racial discrimination.
  • Just admit it, you don't fit in with us. Maybe you should go sit somewhere else.
  • A boy in a wheelchair is in the hall way trying to get to class. He is blocking the way for some people to get by. Instead of being polite, they ridicule him of his disabilities of walking and having glasses. This is an example of discrimination towards people with disabilities.
  • And look at those glasses!
