Zheng He was ordered by the emperor of China to explore the Indian Ocean.
He sailed on many voyages with massive ships that could hold livestock, grow gardens, and store fresh water. These ships could supply sailors for months.
Zheng He explored India and was very kind to all of the people that were in the land and he gave gifts to them so they could see the wealth and greatness of China.
on his several voyages, Zheng He made it to Arabia and eastern Africa and showed the people of these land the greatness of China.
On his final voyage, Zheng He caught a disease and died.
The Confucian scholars of China believed that trade was something to be discouraged and therefore the burned all records China had of Zheng He's voyages.
