  • The green lights at the end of Daisy's dock, represents dreaming of reuniting with her. This showing us that its one of his dreams that are just out of reach.
  • Ch 4
  • Doctor T. J. Eckleburg are fading eyes painted on an old billboard over the valley of ashes. They may represent God staring down upon and judging American society as a moral wasteland.
  • Ch 5
  • Gatsby's Parties represent the greedy scramble for his wealth. This shows how much money he had and didnt care spending it because he had hope one day the love of his life (Daisy) will go to one.
  • Ch 6
  • The yellow car represents the wealth of Gatsby. Wealth plays a big role because it shows how much money he has and could buy anything luxurious. 
  • Nick's Clock represents the time lost with Daisy. This is important because catching the clock after it hit the floor shows that hes willing to make up that lost time they had apart.  
  • Dan cody was Gatsby's role model he's alway looked up to him. He decided to take him in and help him because Gatsby wanted to learn how to be a gentleman and how to get close to Daisy again.
