History life inside the workhouse

I am a poor lady who has come to the workhouse to start a new life. I had originally came with my family but hen we had to separate The room we sleep in is a cramped room with usually 1 person or more on each bed. We have to get up strictly at 6:00AM
Break For Dinner 12:00-1:00
For breakfast we get either bread and cheese or broth. The food also depended on who you were-old person,men,women,children. Women and old people would get tea and bread and butter and men,boys,girls would get bread and gruel.
Leaving for work Again 1:00-6:00
All able bodied women would've had to set for work as we were all put into groups as an able bodied women i would have had to do difficult jobs. Such as Oakum- picking. It would hurt our hands leaving them with splinters trying to get to the little parts of thread.
Having Supper-6:00-7:00 Then going to Bed-8:00
For Dinner(Lunch) we have got different meals for the different groups of people we would either have meat or pease porridge we would get meat 6 times a week . At times we would get Hasty pudding as well overall the dinners in the workhouses were not bad.
We would then leave for work again with everybody doing a job there were different jobs like bone and stone breaking . However the women would do jobs liking sewing ,making clothes, cleaning,helping with the laundry ,helping in the kitchen. Not that great.
After doing some work we would then have supper usually broth and bread and cheese either one of them for each day it would vary. Afterwards we would get ready to go to bed .Supper is mostly similar to breakfast. The we would go to sleep in our rooms
