Storyboard Text

  • The Setting: Salem, 1690
  • Who were the Puritans?
  • Bewitched
  • Meow Woof etc.!
  • Salem was a city in Massachusetts. The Puritans moved there for religious freedom.
  • On Trial
  • See? a mouse crawled in! Shes a witch!
  • The Puritans were a highly religious group of people. Anyone who didn't agree with their religion would be put on trial or executed.
  • Death or Escape
  • If someone was a bewitched by a witch, which the people of Salem hated, they would show symptoms like making random animal noises, or crawling on the floor. Mostly Women had those symptoms.
  • What Can We Learn from the Salem Witch Trials?
  • When someone is on trial, the people will make up excuses of why the person on trial is a witch, like if a fly or a mouse comes into the court room.
  • People on trial could either admit that they were withes and get away without any property, or get executed.
  • One thing we could learn from the Salem witch trials is that we shouldn't be overly-religious, because last time we did that, 20 people died.
