Storyboard Text

  • Well, it was different then it was today. Many things happened, in fact, my grandma told my great grandpa a story which told my grandpa which I told your father and now I will tell you, hopefully one day you can tell your kids.
  • What was is like back then grandpa? Like when you were my age?
  • Can you tell me about it? C'mon Gramps!
  • We can start the story tonight! Since your mom won't be back until Saturday we can spend a few nights on this story.
  • My great great grandfather was alive just as something called the National Anthem was born. It all started with a battle at Fort McHenry.
  • My great great grandma then taught others the true meaning behind our national anthem written by Frances Scott Key, while the attack on Fort McHenry was happening. The true meaning behind the U.S freedom.
  • My great great grandpa worked at a shoe store but later fought in the war, he had already been married and had what would be your great grandpa and grandma.
  • What is happening? A battle where our flag stands? It must be...
  • Sweetheart, in the distance look!!!
  • My great great grandpa rushed to hold the flag up and alongside many other fathers, brothers, and men he held our flag up. That next morning it was still there. And we were free from britain.
  • Our flag, we are free from Britain, papa did good for our country.
  • Yes, we are free, now we must pay our respect for the soilders that helped us keep free.
  • Great Job everyone!
  • "And the home of the freeeeee"
