- The Boston Harbor was closed until the tea that was dumped was paid for. Town meetings were banned in Massachusets. More troops were sent to the colonies, and soldiers were tried for murder in Britain instead of the colonies.
- Colonies unit in the First Continental Congress calling on a new boycott of British goods. Patriots formed and trained local militias called Minutemen and stole guns and gunpowder.
