Jack and Rose walking on the ship to eat dinner .
As they sat down Margaret Brown, a friend of theirs, sat down beside them asking to join them. They talked about the weather and how their trip was going. It was August 30th of 1939. They were on a boat taking them to Poland to see Jack's parents. Jack had been in England with Rose for about 2 years and had not seen his parents in forever. She also brought up the rumor that Poland was going to get invaded by Natzis.
Jack and Rose getting back to their room and Rose getting worried about the rumor that Margaret Brown had told them. They were arriving in Poland tomorrow.
Jack and Rose had woken up around 9:20 am and got off the ship around 10:00 am. They had said goodbye to friends on the ship and went their separate ways.
They arrived at the house around 10:40 and of course Jack's parents were so excited to see them. They had talked about how Jack grew and how much they missed him. But Jack knew that there was something wrong with his parents, he could see it in their eyes. And Jack knew exactly what they were feeling. Jack had finally decided to bring up the rumor of the invasion and asked what they thought of it.
“We really don't know what to think of it, we just want to stay prepared for anything that might come,” Jack's mom Martha said. Jack and Rose hearing Mather say that made them even more nervous.
