- get a book to read for the week!
- Every Monday my teacher took us to the library to get a book to read for the week. I dreaded reading books so i tried to make the short trip worth it.
- I told my best friend that we should look at all the pop up books while we're there. We talked about all the new ones our librarian told us she was ordering.
- We got so distracted they we had to run around and find any book to take for the week. I grabbed the book closest to me and followed the rest of my class.
- When we got back to class we did our regular ten minute silent reading but this one was different for me. The book actually got my attention and I was imagining what was going on in the story.
- When i got home all i wanted to do was read the scary story. This was the first time i read a chapter book in one knight.
- The next day i went to school and told my teacher about the whole story, start to finish, and in full detail. I also told her that it was my first chapter book. she congratulated me and gave me suggestions on which books to read.
