  • The Mississippi Trial, 1955
  • Goodbye
  • Ha, boy Hiram, you see the way that old man ran when I yelled at him.
  • you just think  we gonna give ya are food ?
  • Hiram leaves his family to go off,to help his grandfather; back were he grew up, Mississippi; But Hiram's father told him that Mississippi would not be the same from when Hiram was a kid .
  • Its all my fault hes dead.
  • you okay, son ?
  • Hiram gets back to Mississippi and now lives with his grandfather. on a trip to the river with his old friend R. C, Hiram thinks about what his father said.
  • After the two, Hiram and R.C take a nap by the river one black child who Hiram knows, asks for some food they have. this child is harassed by R. C and is shocked and scared. Hiram had confronted R. C a day later.
  •  Hiram sees the next day in the news paper that the boy from the day before was murdered, but the murderers were caught and are being put on trial. Hiram feel this is his fault and he will go to the trial.
  • Hiram gets to go home, back to in Arizona. His grandfather drives him back and Hiram is happy that he could help in the court trial.
