  • April 19, 1775, 700 British soldiers march through Lexington to get to Concord to confiscate hidden weapons.
  • Colonial Militia stopped the British. They were waiting for them because Paul Revere told them they were coming the night before. The militia was very outnumbered and they were not trained soldiers.
  • They started to fight after someone shot, which became famous because it was the "shot heard 'round the world"
  • In Concord, Britain found their weapons and supplies and destroyed and burned them.
  • The militiamen caught them and they had another fight between each other. Britain started dropping stuff to make escaping faster.
