This buck would make for a fine dinner
It took five months to travel the 2,000 miles on an ox-drawn wagons.
Now that we found some fertile farming land we can get settled

The journey was difficult and they faced many hardships.

While on the trail, they hunted for food often.
Once they found land, they built their house and a stable for the animals.
Once settled man had few options for career. The most common one were: farmers or woodcutters. Children often helped out in the field.
