In the Prologue Antigone has too much Pride and cannot see that if she buries Polyneices bad things will come
"Creon is not strong enough to stand in my way"(1023).
Here Creon is telling all of the people to not bury Polyneices because he has made a law about it. There will be consequences like stoning to death if you do
"This is my command and you can see the wisdom behind it"(1027).
Antigone says she isn't afraid of death as long as she is doing the right thing. While her and Ismene still are not seeing eye to eye about her burying Polyneices.
I am not afraid of the danger, if it means death it will not be the worst"(1024).
Go then if you must
Creon is arguing with Teiresias about wether whether or not what Creon is doing is wrong. Then Creon begins to say that Teiresias is too old and corrupt and is taking bribes to lie about him.
"Whatever you say, you will not change my will"(1054).
"You are sick Cron"(1054).
Creon talks about how Antigone is just a woman who should die in hell and his son can marry anyone else. He is mad she disobeyed his orders and states that he is the king and everyone must listen to him no matter the situation.
"Whoever is chosen to govern should be obeyed. Must be obeyed, in all things, great or small"(1042).
Antigone has too much Pride and says that if she breaks the law she thinks she had the right to and it is holy. Even if she dies. Ismene tries to convince her that she isn't above the law and it is a bad idea.
"But I will bury him; and if i must die, I say that this crime is holy"(1023).
"I have no strength to break laws that were made for the public good"(1023).
