Daisy vs Self
I don't know what to do?? How do I pick between two handsome guys?? I love both!! UGHHH!
Gatsby vs Tom
She doesn't even like you "Oxford Man"!!! She loves me and always has!! She's mine!!
She loves ME!!! She only wanted your money. Now that I am rich I'm perfect for her. She will be MINE!!!
Daisy vs Myrtle
DAISY WATCH OUT!!!! NOOOO!
Oh no a woman!
In this scene Daisy's conflict between herself is shown. She is completely lost and doesn't know what to do. Daisy is caught up in the fantasy of loving both men.
At this part of the story Tom and Gatsby get in a heated conflict between each other. They begin to fight over Daisy who is the Golden Girl. They both are fighting for her in order to achieve the American Dream. It is a failure without the perfect girl.
After Gatsby's and Tom's fight Daisy drives crazily home and doesn't stop for Myrtle. Daisy in some way purposely hits Myrtle instead of another car. In some way this part makes it seem as if Daisy knows who Myrtle is and is jealous of how Tom loves her too.
