"Once upon a midnight dreary."
A weird, unusual night.
"Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door."
Someone is at the door.
His wife dead and she not coming back.
The bird flew in and sat on top the chamber door.
"But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door."
"And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting."
The raven never moved from the top of the door.
Don't be mad when your love one goes.
“Prophet!” said I, “thing of evil!—prophet still, if bird or devil!"
