Storyboard Text

  • It was Elana Kopman's first day of high school. She was incredibly nervous that the classes would be really hard.
  • Hey friends! The bell is going to ring soon. Let's get to class.
  • Sounds good!
  • Alright!
  • Her first math class was not going great...
  • Therefore x plus b times pi divided by r equals 76, everyone got that?
  • UGH! I have no idea what she's saying!!!
  • But then she thought back to grade 8..
  • Hmmmmmm.... Last year I did do a test which told me that I am a VISUAL learner...
  • I KNOW WHAT TO DO!
  • Oops...that wasn't supposed to be out loud...
  •
  • So then Elana worked up all her courage and went to speak to her new teacher Ms. Smith.
  • Yes actually! I am a visual learner so when you're just speaking I don't really understand the lesson. A couple ways I learn best are when lessons are in front of me on either the board or a worksheet, when working with diagrams, maps, pictures/visuals, and when all my notes are organized and colour coded.
  • Hey! Is there anything I can help you with?
  • Ms. Smith decided to speak and show visuals during lessons, and even let students try the lessons themselves. She did this to help visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners understand her class. Finally Elana was getting the hang of things.
