  • We Speak Latin! 
  • We Speak Greek! 
  • We will be married in a week!
  • ahh, the single life 
  • Oh how much I love my Pope!
  • Western people spoke Latin, while the eastern spoke Greek. The great schism occurred in 1054.
  • We shall build domes for you God!
  • In the west priest were not allowed to be married, but in the east they allowed the priest to be married. 
  • These were some of the reasons the catholic church split. 
  • Western believed in the pope. He had power over the kings. East had an emperor as ruler for political and religious things. 
  • East built domes to show faith in god. West had cathedrals and stained glass. East also had mosaics to showcase art.
