I´m from Italy, born in 1564! This is our countries flag.
I love to learn about the moon and use a telescope to look at the sky. (I improved the telescope to make it better)
People used to think that the moon was a pure substance, but I taught the world that it has a rough surface in 1608-1609.
The church did not agree with my ideas. The Pope made it a rule that I couldn't be catholic until I denied the truth of my argument (1609).
I went to court and was trialed to be put behind bars until I confessed the Copernican Theory was false (1610). After that, I was still never a truly freed man.
Even though I influenced the age of exploration by proving my theory was correct, I died in shame under house arrest. Even thoight my ideas are still relevant to this day. (2017)
