Storyboard Text

  • I do not like that these new people are coming into my land and trying to make us  work. This is why I have no fear in confronting the Spanish Conquistador, Hernan Cortes.
  • Well I think that it is great that they are going to your place because they bring riches like silver for us to trade and get money.
  • This trading is not going well for everyone. Since the natives can be free by becoming Christians, the Spaniards need people to work, this is where people from Africa become slaves.
  • I agree! The Europeans are killing a vast amount of natives and Africans only to get gold and riches. This isn't too good for everyone...
  • With Ming and my Ottoman Empire, I think we are the reason why so many people started to have ships so they can travel and trade overseas with the new world
  • Europeans are taking my people, but I think it is good because we get guns and more goods in return.
  • We are simply trying to get more wealth. Our intention was not to harm, disease is inevitable when it comes to global trade.
  • Shame on you all, for it is your kind that brings nothing but diseases to my people!
  • Your empire is really powerful! You conquered Constantinople where it made it easier for you all to trade in the nearby seas.
  • Thank you, but if it was not for the Europeans starting to explore in the Americas, then we would not be able to get introduced to new discovery.
  • Well we were introduced with salt that changed how our food tasted and other foods that changed our everyday cuisines. I say global trade really had some good effects and not so good ones.
  • One thing that was introduced during global trade was Christianity, and this is when Italians started trying to convert my people. It was not so bad.
