Storyboard Text

  • Providing student choice can empower students through the learning process.
  • I agree! Student choice is more than simply choosing a topic.
  • It's important to think about who is doing most of the talking. He who does the talking does the learning.
  • There is so much power in voice and choice. They really get that sense of ownership in their learning.
  • We can provide choice by having them choose the topic, choose their groups, and ask the questions.
  • For sure! They can also pick the materials, choose the format and even choose the strategies.
  • Students learn from failure. We need to allow them to take ownership in their learning process.
  • We need to let students needs and interests inform our instruction.
  • I feel that my students are so bored at times. Offering them more choices would help.
  • I feel the same way. Students have little opportunities to show leadership throughout the school day and offering choice can help.
  • Well, I have somethings to think about today. It is time to make some changes.
  • Same here! Thanks for collaborating with me today.
