Storyboard Text

  • Providing student choice can empower students through the learning process.
  • student choice is more than simply choosing a topic.
  • Those who do the talking are those who are doing the learning.
  • There is so much power in choice. They really get that sense of ownership in their learning.
  • We can provide choice by having them choose the topic, choose their groups and ask the questions.
  • They can pick the materials, choose the format and even choose the strategies.
  • Students learn from failure. We need to allow them to take ownership in their learning process.
  • We need to let students needs and interests inform our instruction.
  • I feel that my students are so bored at times. Offering them more choices would help.
  • I feel the same way. Students have litte opportunities to say what happens throughout the school day and they develop misbehavior.
