On March 3, 1913, a lot of woman and Alice Paul set up a parade for woman rights that caused violence. Lawyer Inez Milholland led the parade with a white horse.
Woman should have the same rights as men!
As the parade just began, drunk men started to spit at the marchers and chaos broke out. The police had very little interference.
From this day on, the 19th amendment allows woman to vote.
The crowds were doing violent acts and surrounding ambulances.

Nurses were marching there way to go support the parade by the U.S. Capitol.

The Suffrage parade caused the law to pass the 19th amendment.
More than 100 woman were hospitalized for there injuries. But the woman showed hope and still moved forward with there parade.
