It all just seemed like an ordinary Saturday night, I went to the club and had some fun, I danced around with my friends until the sun came up. After a few drinks I decided it wasn't the best idea to drive myself home, so I called myself an Uber.
I waited outside for the driver for about 10 minutes. Finally, I saw the red suv pull up out front of the building. He waved to me and I gradually hopped in. He seemed nice at first and introduced himself as "Howard" but I could tell he was getting angry at how much I was talking as the ride progressed.
I was still a little tipsy but I realized that the man had made a wrong turn. "Excuse me sir, that wasn't the right street" I said. He then replied to me and told me to "shut my ******* mouth". He started to speed and I automatically sobered up.
I thought fast, I knew I had to get out of there so I did what I had to do. I punched the window as hard as I could and it shattered. I jumped out of the moving vehicle and rolled as I hit the road. Adrenaline instantly made me get up and start running for my life.
Howard chased me down the street and screamed some very harsh words at me through the window. I kept running until my legs felt as if they were about to break. I made a left turn at an intersection and to my relief, there was a policeman ready to save the day.
The officer told Howard through his microphone to pull over, but Howard didn't listen. He turned right expecting to get away but the officer was right on his tail. He finally pulled the cruel uber driver over and get him in handcuffs. If it weren't for that cop, I don't know where I'd be right now.
