Storyboard Text

  • I'm a greek christian man living in Turkey.
  • The greek genocide occurred during the first WW. Several hundred thousand people, both Ottoman and Greek, died during this horrific period. By late 1922 most of the Greeks were either Killed or Fled the country.
  • I am going to tell you about the Greek Genocide, of 1919-1923. Lets begin.
  • Hi I am Nicolas, and this is my friend Emanuel. We both managed to escape the Greco and Turkish War or WWI. Here is our account on what went down and how we felt.
  • "Those who were not able to keep up with the march were killed on the spot. The same happened to anyone daring to walk for a moment out of line. On our weary march we encountered also the dead bodies of women, young girls, and civilians. On our arrival at Brusa we were maltreated by the enraged Turkish population and we were even pursued as far as the military barracks where they housed us." - Emmanuel Zaraki, and Nicolas Zacharenaki
