  • Native American Resistance Cause of War #1
  • Yeah!!!
  • Tecumseh
  • Lets fight the Americans to get our land back!
  • Impressment Cause #2
  • You're coming with us you British scum!
  • What!! I'm not even British!
  • Phase 1 of War
  • Who's up next!!!
  • HELP!!!
  • The 1st cause of war was the Native American resistance. During this time Tecumseh, a Native American Chief, organized Natives in the NW Territory to fight the Americans. He also allied with the British in Canada. In this picture, he is motivating other Natives for war.
  • Phase 2 of War
  • The next cause of war was impressment. Impressment is where British ships capture American ships and take the people on the American ships and force them to join their navy. In this picture, the British captured an American and making him come with them back to England to join their Navy.
  • Phase 3 of War
  • Andrew Jackson
  • Come on men we can win!
  • The 1st phase of the war is at the Great Lakes in Michigan. In the 1st phase Oliver Hazard Perry as seen above on the row boat defeated the British and later General William followed them and defeated them at the Battle of Thames. In this picture Oliver Perry is defeating all of the British ships on his rowboat.
  • Effects of War - Industrial Revolution
  • Hey Frank, check out what I made because of the war!
  • The 2nd phase of the war is at the East Coast. In this phase a lot of things happened; the British blockaded the coast, they burned down the white house, and Francis Scott Key wrote the national anthem. In this picture, The British are burning down the white house and laughing about it, but James Madison (the president) is yelling at them for what they did.
  • James Madison
  • So sorry president Madison! Ha Ha Ha!!!!
  • The 3rd phase of the war is in New Orleans. In this phase the British attacked New Orleans to cut off Americans from using the Mississippi. James Madison then sends Andrew Jackson to command the soldiers. The Americans ended up winning the battle because of British surrender due to lots of casualties even though they had a lot more troops. In this picture, Andrew Jackson is commanding the small American army near the mouth of the Mississippi River.
  • The Industrial Revolution started during the 2nd phase of the war when the British blockaded the East Coast . Usually the US gets its goods from other countries by sailing across the sea, but since the British blockaded the coast they were forced to start making many more goods then normal in-house. This proved later to be a good thing. In my picture, a man is showing off a game board to his friend which he normally would've got from another country but he made it himself due to the Revolution.
  • That's so cool!
