  • Rising Action
  • First, Russell's older brother and mom are making dinner. They think the food is cooked because it is sizzling hot and smells delicious. But what they didn't know was that large portions of the food wasn't cooked. Inside was a food poisoning virus in the uncooked portions.
  • Rising Action
  • Please clam down!
  • Suddenly, Russell came down to eat dinner. After a few bites, Russell got an upset stomach and started throwing up. The throw up looked as if there was mold and garbage. Because of this, Russell was declared sick and he blamed his brother and mom that they did this on purpose. He called them traitors and thought they wanted him dead.
  • Climax
  • Next, Russell's brother takes Russell to his bed and his mom prepares some medicine. Russell then takes his medicine and starts to argue with his mom and brother. Russell asks them why they wanted him sick, but they confessed that they didn't know the food was uncooked. Russell's brother said that it smelled delicious so they were deceived that it was not cooked.
  • Falling Action/Resolution
  • Russell starts saying mean things to his trustful family. Russell's mom tries to calm Russell him down and tells him what they were really trying to do. She and his brother were trying to make the food special. She then pleaded for Russell's forgiveness. Russell started thinking about it.
  • There was a silence. Unexpectedly, Russell cried, "I'm sorry mom! I didn't know! I'll forgive you and big brother and from now on I'll appreciate everything my family gives me." Then, his mom started crying tears of joy for a few minutes. She squealed with excitement for her little boy.
  • Russell tells his mom he will be more responsible. He says there will be less stress in the house because he'll start helping with chores. Russell helps his family make a new dinner and sets the table. Finally, they eat with Russell, who has a new personality. Russell learned that he should start working and helping his family and not make them do the work. He has changed from a spoiled brat to a responsible, hardworking kid.
