  • Again Annemarie took a big risk lying to a Nazi. The soldier asked Annemarie who was in the casket, and Annemarie lied. That took incredible bravery if you ask me.

  • I'll wear this necklace until Ellen returns to Copenhagen
  • Annemarie was one of the best friends you could wish for. She willingly helped her best friend Ellen escape to Sweden knowing she very well might never see her again. Annemarie risked her life yet again for people she loves. Ellen and others had to hide in a secret compartment.
  • Annemarie was kind enough to open her house to Ellen and hide out. When Nazis came to investigate Ellen, Annemarie, Mom, and Dad had to say Ellen was Lisé. Ellen pulled it off pretending to be Lisé
  • One of Annemarie's greatest acts of friendship was this. Annemarie wears Ellen's Star of David necklace. She said she will wear it until Ellen returns.
