An example for a model that's represents something too small, is an atom or a cell. For something too big, is the solar system or the earth.
Some benefits of having models are that they can be used for communication. Another reason is that they are just the right size. Lastly, they save time, money and lives.
There is also limitation to models, for example, details. A model may not contain all the details of the actual object. Another limitation is the approximations. Some of the approximation may not be exact. And Lastly, is the accuracy. When you try to make a model with simplicity you lose some of the accuracy of the actual thing.
