  • I don't feel so well, and I keep coughing up blood
  • During medieval Europe, rats that carried fleas with them were believed to be the cause of the "Black Death' which killed almost 2/3 of Europe
  •  The 'Black Death" caused many people to die and this was what caused a lower population in each rank ( kings, nobles, knights and peasants)
  • Symptons that appeared on people's bodies were swollen lymph nodes, which appeared in the groin area, armpit, or neck. Other symptons were fever, coughing blood, pain in muscle areas, fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
  • This event was a way for peasants to finally speak out for their rights, this was a big change in feudalism and now nobles were becoming weaker and kings took back their power and the church weakened
  • The king was able to recieve his power again now that everyone was weak. Even though nobles were losing their power and peasants were fighting for their rights, the church was also falling.
  • It was a horrible time in medeival Europe after almost 3 years of this horrible disease that killed millions but peasants were able to obtain power by protesting and maintain it by putting it to good use.
