Before long, Mallory and Rider strengthen their bond and begin dating, however tragedy strikes when Jayden is maliciously murdered by two drug dealers for not paying them back.
And to add more to the grief, Ainsley , her best friend, has just been told she will go blind in a few years. One day she could just wake up blind.
And to Mallory's surprise, due to his grief and the fact that Mallory has been fighting with Carl and Rosa, Rider decides to break up with Mallory.
That's when Mallory realizes that Rider was not as heroic as she thought. he is so talented and so smart but he doesn't try. And he gives up easily, especially when things get hard, instead of fighting or what he wants
THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU DON'T TRY!!
I'm hurt :(
As Rider leaves, Mallory has an epiphany and realizes that everyone takes things for granted. Small things like eyesight, life, it can be gone in a split second. Nothing is forever, and noting should ever been taken for granted.
