This is John, he is a teenager who is suffering from Pervasive Developmental Disorder (not otherwise specified). I will be informing you about his condition.
This disorder is also called PDD-NOS, it has the symptoms of other autism profiles mixed with symptoms of Asperger Syndrome and it also shows signs of cognitive impairment (CDC).
Please pay attention John!!!
Can't wait to go home and play with Toby and then eat!
The most notable symptom of PDD-NOS is that the child is "high-functioning" like those with Aspergers, but has "mild" cognitive impairment (CDC).
People with PDD-NOS also have speaking deficincies. People who have PDD-NOS get diagnosed later in their lives (usually in their teens)
Did you finish your English assignment John?
TOUCH ME DO NOT!!!
Children with PDD-NOS have either increased or decreased sensitivity levels to multiple senses such as smell. touch, taste, sight, and sound. John hates it when people touch him and/or can't hear very well.
How many times do I have to tell you this is our new permanent home!
People with PDD-NOS have problems with "transition" in their life. Such as moving into a new house
