Storyboard Text

  • Do you ever wonder how hard it was back in the 1800's for farmers?
  • Summer was harsh on crops
  • Most farmers had poor harvest and dropped prices, so the farmers made an alliance.
  • but winter was even worse
  • That's right, we made the populist party, most of the farmers suggested things we do to help them out the best we can.
  • They suggested we, limit the work days to eight hours, and they wanted easier access to loans.
  • they also wanted government ownership of the telegraph, telephone and railroad systems.
  • They wanted all these things because they thought that they wouldn't be able to get these things by themselves, so, they formed an alliance to speak together, and figure things out. In this party they were able to have a their own candidates running for president.
