This is a livestock farm for ranching. Most of the time, these are essentially domesticated animals. Also, these farmers must be careful to evenly distribute the grazing of their animals. Overgrazing can lead to loss of nutrients in the soil.
This is an example of aquaculture, which is the cultivation of fish in a controlled area. This farm is an example of organic agriculture because it keeps the soil healthy, the fish healthy, and ultimately it keeps the people who eat the fish healthy.
My name is Josh Phillips. I am a farmer in a LDC, or a lower developed country. The agriculture here is subsistence agriculture, which means we focus on growing food for our families. The first agricultural revolution changed the way people get food. Instead of hunting and gathering, we plant seeds, called seed agriculture. However, farmers in LDCs still have to work hard to grow food, which is intensive agriculture.
The climate, or the weather in an area over a long time, can also have a big effect on agriculture in LDCs. However, when the weather isn't a problem, farmers in LDCs use double cropping, or harvesting two crops from the same field in the same year, to make the most of their farm.
