- Precipitation is the process of water falling onto the surface of the earth.
- Wee! I'm precipitating!
- Now I have two options. I can either go into the ocean by runoff or by infiltration. Let's see both!
- Precipitation that falls off of land and falls into a river, pond, or other bodies of surface water.
- See! I'm flowing through the river and am going to flow into the connecting ocean.
- The downwards movement of water into the ground and under the ground.
- I'm underground! Now I will flow through the dirt into the ocean.
- The process that a liquid goes through when turning into a gas due to the heat of the sun. This has a cooling effect on the surrounding enviroment.
- Now I'm a gas because I evaporated. You can't see me, but I'm rising up into the air.
- The process when a gas turns into a liquid. This has a warming effect on the environment.
- Now I'm a cloud! When I rose up into the air, the water vapor condensed and formed this cloud!
