Today is Hanukkah. The Franks, Van Daans, and Dussel will be celebrating by reading out of the Torah, and lighting a candle of the Menorah. Anne has a surprise for everyone.
To start the day, Mr. Frank begins by reading prayers from the Torah. Everyone is excited to celebrate the holiday, except for Dussel because he doesn't fully practice being a jew, he keeps referring to Christian holidays, like St. Nicholas' day.
After Mr. Frank reads, Anne announces to every one that she has something. When she comes out of her room she reveals presents for everyone. Most are homemade presents that she took the time to do, except for Peter's gift.
I have gifts for everyone!!
For Margot is a crossword puzzle book. For Mrs. Van Daan is hair shampoo. For Mr. Van Daan is cigarettes. For Mrs. Frank is a letter that says Anne will do any work for her. For her father is a scarf. For Peter is a razor, that he gets offended by. Anne also made Peter a toy for Mouschi.
Thank you Anneke.
Dussel's gift from Anne was ear plugs. Since Anne has nightmares sometimes and screams in the middle of her sleep, and moves around too much at night, he will not be bothered by her with the ear plugs in.
Thank you Anne, now i won't have to listen to your nightmares!!
Everyone is very thankful for their gifts from Anne, she decides to continue and act like this in the future and start being more nice.
