Storyboard Text

  • Paleolithic Age
  • Let's go hunting
  • I need to gather more food, the baby is starving
  • Someone help us
  • The Agricultural Revolution
  • Why don't we just move this plant from out here to right outside of our hut?
  • Finally fresh meat and milk and we don't have to risk getting killed by hunting for them
  • This is much better
  •   Neolithic Times: Population Rise
  • The population grew by so much
  • Finally our kids get to grow up
  •  If you were born before the agricultural revolution, you would probably be dead in 2 years!
  • Our permanent home is almost finished.
  • In the paleolithic times, people were nomads, the men were always hunting and the women were gathering the resources around them like berries for food. They had to keep moving around otherwise they would starve or die. They did not know how to grow crops or raise animals, therefore, the food was scarce.
  • (Advantages) Permanent home
  • We can settle down and actually have a life
  • More food!!😍
  • The agricultural revolution was when people discovered how to farm, domesticate animals, and kill them for meat, and also in the case of goats, milk. When they learned how to do this, they could settle into a permanent spot instead of being nomads, because they had all of the food they needed right outside of their hut.
  • (Advantages) Surplus of food
  • We have more than enough food to feed our family
  • When the food was no longer a problem, kids had a greater chance of growing up to be an adult. Since they had a permanent home or a hut, they would not starve or get taken and eaten by a wild animal. Therefore the population of the earth grew a lot. It grew from 2 million people on earth to more than 90 million people.
  • (Advantages) Trading goods
  • Ummmm
  • Yay thanks for the pig.
  • Lets get away
  • In the neolithic era, people learned that if they could grow food, they could build a permanent home right next to fertile ground where they could have their food next to them and not even have to move to find more food to survive. Also, a permanent home would be more safe because they wouldn't risk getting killed by moving from place to place.
  • You mean you were dead?
  • After the agricultural revolution, people had enough food to feed themselves and their family and not starve. Therefore, because they learned how to domesticate animals and farm, they had a surplus of food. They also had plenty of liquids too because they used goats for milk.
  • Because they had enough food, people discovered trading and began trading for goods that they did not have in exchange for goods that the other trader did not have. For example trading food for tools or materials like brick. Sometimes the trade is even, other times not.
