We did not surrender and the Battle of Fort Sumter was the start of the Civil War
Battle of Gettysburg
in the Battle of Fort Sumter there were no deaths but in this battle there was almost 8,000 deaths.
After the Battle of Gettysburg there was a ceremony to honor the soldiers that had died.
Both major battles. Both had big impacts to the end of the war. Lincoln was president for both battles. Both weren't in border states.
