Storyboard Description

Winter and her two friends (Anita and Jake) are all against having a normal school dance. But what can they do? They are all on the HTIS (How To Improve School-student board), so they have a lot of options! But soon, the mayor gets involved. Which means the local media.

Storyboard Text

  • I'm Winter. My school has a HTIS team (How to improve- student board), and i'm on it. We're talking about the dance today...
  • Okay kids. The Dance is soon, and I want to be prepared. Who has a theme idea?
  • I think we should do a different theme this year. Not all cutesy hearts! And it's not 'cause I'm a boy.
  • Student's HOW TO IMPROVE School Meeting Points to discuss: •Valentines Day Dance •New students •How to improve lunches
  • I agree!
  • After school I head home with Anita. She's on the team too. We decided that the dance shouldn't be a normal themed dance.
  • I agree. We should do a dance out of the ordinary, no fluff and poof. But what?
  • I like the N.C.!
  • I was thinking maybe a New York, or maybe a Disco theme?
  • We decided on the New York theme. At first, lots of girls complained, but it was decided. After school, we gathered to decorate.
  • Look what Jake and I found! I was googling "N. C. party ideas" and found this!
  • Not good.
  • What is it?
  • The local Mayor found out about our abnormal dance theme, and the newspapers wrote an article!
  • An outraged Mayor proclaims that he will not stand for such business. He says that this is "...not good for kids of today... ...a abrupt change in atmosphere, they say is good.... the children of today believe that they can get away with anything?" The children't teacher says that change in the school design is good.
  • "Every dance since the year 1980 has been heart themed- 1980 was when the school was founded" -Mayor
  • After decorating, Jake and Anita meet me at my locker.
  • Oh, Anita! Don't worry, the mayor can't do too much against the dance, it's not his dance.
  • What are we going to do? Will we have to cancle the dance?
  • The next few days are stressful, not to mention Anita's worrying. But everything goes as planned and we finally have the dance.
  • The dance turned out really good! Hey Jake, where are your glasses?
  • My glasses? I'm wearing contacts.
  • "This school is nearly 40 years old. We have not remodeled since it started. This new generation deserves a new theme! -teacher
  • I'm glad nobody was affected by the mayor!
