  • The Water Cycle
  • Sun Radiation
  • Oh look it's time to go through the water cycle again. I've been in the water cycle since the time of the dinosaurs.
  • The sun heats up Waterano and then he turns into water vapor.
  • Evaporation and Transpiration
  • Looks like I'll join you today Waterano. The sun is evaporating the water out of me.
  • Wheee, now I get to turn into water vapor,  and combine with dust particles so I can become a cloud!
  • One the clouds get heavy they start to rain down rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
  • Precipitation
  • Now gravity pulls me down from the sky, its called precipitation, I collect into lakes, rivers, streams, or any source of water.
  • Runoff, groundwater,  infiltration
  • Sometimes instead of staying in lakes streams rivers or oceans, I go into some runoff and sometimes, I go through rocks, and then seep into the ground and turn into groundwater.
  • Ta Da!
  • Then I just wait here until I get evaporated by the sun again.
