  • The Mongolian Plateau is much like the Tibetan Plateau, but lower and smaller.
  • Mongolia is much like  modern grassland, and is very sparse.
  • The Gobi Desert covers some of southern Mongolia and is the third largest desert in the world.
  • The Himalayas are home to the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.
  • The Yangtze River is the third largest river in the world, and hold so many species that there are river dolphins.
