The Save-Daddy Plan
When the Penderwicks mom was in the hospital she was sick with cancer. She gave their Aunt Claire the letter for the father before she had passed away. The letter had said that she was okay if their father started dating if he felt lonely.
A Skating Coach
Aunt Claire is making their father go on dates. His first date was Ms. Muntz. The four sisters, Rosalind, Jane, Skye, and Batty were not happy, they didn't want a stepmother.
Rosalind said, "Time for a MOPS." Mops means a Meeting Of Penderwick Sisters. The four sisters didn't want their father to like any of his dates, so they decided to put him with people they knew he wouldn't like.
Anna, Roalind's best friend has ice skating lessons and she said that she needed a ride home so that she and Rosalind could take a long time, and the skating coach would ask Mr. Pendrwick out on a date. They both knew that he wouldn't like her.
While Mr. Penderwick was out with Laurie Jones, Anna's ice skating coach, he asked the neighbor's to watch his four girls. All their neighbor's like to do was practice football drills. Rosalind was in shock that he asked their neighbors to watch them and not her.
