  • Not bad. I felt a little sick, and still have a cold.

  • The function of the organ system is to protect the body from disease causing microorganisms
  • It's a bright and sunny Monday at the Washington Central High School. Haley and Elly head to school. Over the weekend Haley started to cough and sneeze...
  • Like the Lymphatic vessels, the way in which lymph fluid is transported around the body
  • An example would be Peyer’s Patch-filter bacteria in the digestive system
  • The pair walk to their biology class and talk about their weekends in the hallway.
  • and Lymph nodes, the place where bacteria are filtered out and destroyed
  • and the Thymus, thegland in upper chest, that produces lymphocytes
  • and finally Spleen, the storage unit for blood and breaks down old red blood cells
  • The whole class Haley sniffles, sneezes, and coughs in her hand.

  • The whole class she feels rather sick. Mr. Kerwin teaches the class on the function of the immune system.
  • Suddenly the bell rings and Haley and Elly head out of class.
  • While leaving class Haley grabs the door handle and so does Elly. Little does she know, her body is about to be bombarded by Haley's harmful infection.
