To start we are going to cream together the butter and sugar, this incorporates air into the butter to give the cake more structure
We will now add vanilla to the mixture to get the flavor well blended
to this, we will add baking powder to mae the cake rise.
After the baking powder is beaten in we will mix in the eggs. We add eggs to gvie the cake strength and milk to steam the cake while baking. we beat the baking soda mixture to help activate the baking powder
in a separate bowl we are going to mix our dry ingredients such as flour sugar and salt.
the flour will add proteins which will react later with the wet ingredients to create gluten, and add elasticity to the cake.
Pour batter into a well greased 9x13 pan. bake for 25-30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. we bake the cake to help the baking powder produce tiny bubbles to give it volume, and makes eggs firm.
lastly we will add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well. After the ingredients are well combined hte batter should be thick and slightly fluffy due to the reaction of the baking soda eggs and flour.
