  • The French and English both wanted the land in the Ohio River Valley where the Indians lived so they started taking sides.
  • Pitt Takes Charge
  • George Washington along with 150 other men attacked a French scouting party and the war began.
  • The Battle of Quebec
  • General Braddock was shot and killed at the Battle of the fort Duquesne.
  • French Power Ends
  • In 1757 William Pitt became in charge of the French and Indian war for the British. He convinced them to spend more money on the war.
